FAQs
Q. Who are OOFOS shoes for and who should/could be wearing them?
A. The short answer is everyone.
The technology behind OOFOS footwear is the unique OOfoam, which absorbs 37% more shock than any other material found in footwear. The patented foot-bed also offers great support, which is why OOFOS are recommended by Health Professionals such as Podiatrists and Physiotherapists.
The simplest way to describe OOFOS footwear is by saying that normally you have a very soft material with no support or a relatively hard material with support. OOFOS offers the best of both worlds as the OOfoam is extremely soft and the Patented Foot-Bed offers great support including arch support.
Q. Can OOFOS help me with my Plantar Fasciitis and Bone Spurs?
A. Many people have found relief from pain associated with these conditions wearing OOFOS.
Our Patented Foot-Bed has a built in supportive arch and this together with the incredible cushioning of OOfoam can assist the healing process.
Q. Can OOFOS help me with my knee problems?
A. Yes they can!
The OOfoam offers 37% more shock absorption than any other material being used in shoes in the marketplace today. The fact that OOFOS will absorb more of the impact when you walk will result in you feeling less pain.
Q. How do OOFOS footwear help with recovery?
A. Most people are wearing shoes that tell their feet where to move.
This is because these shoes are very structured. Athletic shoes can be stiff as they quite often are geared for stability. Orthotics are designed to do the same thing. OOFOS shoes are about the "feel" and helping your feet and you to feel better!
Our patented foot-bed design offers a lot of support and the OOfoam provides 37% more shock absorption than any other materials found in footwear. This translates to giving the feet and your body relief from the effects of weight bearing and thus helps the wearer recover from the physical demands of their activity, whether it be from sports, working or being on their feet all day.
Q. How long can I wear the shoes?
A. We find that most people don't want to take off their OOFOS once they put them on.
It's best to ask your feet. We promise they will let you know!
Q. What is the life span of OOFOS shoes? How long will they last?
A. Our OOfoam maintains the cushioning longer than other materials that have a soft feel.
In our experience, we see some wear on the bottom over time with normal wear; however, the foot-bed maintains the shape and cushion feel for a very long time.
Q. Are OOFOS like Crocs?
A. We would like your feet to answer this question for you.
Once you try on a pair of OOFOS you will know the answer straight away. Our material is unique and exclusive to OOFOS as we are the only brand of footwear to use OOfoam. The patented foot-bed design and the OOfoam are what make OOFOS different and distinguish us from all other brands.
Q. My doctor says flip flops are not good for my feet, why are yours?
A. Our shoes have a patented foot-bed design offering unparalleled arch support.
The OOfoam also provides 37% more shock absorption than other materials used in shoes in the marketplace today. Doctors have not previously seen what we are offering, so we understand why they say this. One of our missions here at OOFOS is to change that and we are! We have many podiatrists recommending our shoes to their patients and the list is growing in all medical communities and allied health fields (Chiropractors, Osteopaths and Massage Therapists etc.).
Q. I have a small split in my OOFOS, how can I repair them?
A. If you have damaged your OOFOS, we would recommend using a non-toxic adhesive PVA glue.
Please avoid using hot glue and strong toxic glues as these may melt the OOfoam and ruin your OOFOS.
